Junkin' with Intention: What Sets The Great Junk Hunt Apart

If you’ve ever wondered what makes The Great Junk Hunt different from a regular flea market, you're not alone! It’s a question we hear often, and one we love to answer.

While both share a love for vintage, repurposed, and secondhand goods, The Great Junk Hunt is a curated, juried market that brings together some of the best vintage vendors, makers, and pickers from across the country. Every booth is hand-selected to ensure a high-quality shopping experience filled with vintage, industrial, handcrafted, thrifty, and boutique finds-all set in a fun, festival-like atmosphere. It’s not just about shopping, it’s about discovering treasures, meeting makers, and connecting with a passionate community.

Founded by Linda Albers,

The Great Junk Hunt has roots in a deep personal love for forgotten treasures. Linda grew up watching her mom thrift and style on a budget, selling finds at local garage sales.

Inspired by that spirit, Linda opened a vintage store of her own. But after years behind the counter, she craved more freedom, freedom to travel, to create, and to hunt. In 2009, she and her sister launched what was then the Funky Junk Sisters Vintage Flea Market. Today, The Great Junk Hunt has grown into a traveling celebration of vintage style and community.

Several years ago, Linda’s son J.T. Albers officially joined the business, bringing fresh ideas, energy, and a shared love for building something meaningful. Today, Linda and J.T. are co-owners of The Great Junk Hunt, leading the brand together with heart, vision, and a whole lot of hustle.

J.T. is married to Amanda, and together they’re raising three beautiful children, making this truly a family rooted business.

The Great Junk Hunt isn’t just a job for them, it’s a legacy built on creativity, connection, and community.

🚚 Taking the Junkin’ Joy on the Road

These days, Linda and J.T. are taking their signature flea market style on the road, bringing The Great Junk Hunt to cities all across the U.S. From day one, Linda’s goal has stayed the same…

To create a joyful, inspiring place where fellow junkers can come together to buy and sell all things vintage, upcycled, handmade, and one of a kind.

✨ More Than a Flea Market

Yes, a traditional flea market is a great place to browse.
But The Great Junk Hunt offers something more.

It’s an experience.
It’s a celebration of style, sustainability, and creativity.
It’s live music, cocktails, jaw dropping booths, and the thrill of the hunt all rolled into one unforgettable weekend.

It’s where stories are told, treasures are found, and memories are made.
